Company History
EmailLabs is headquartered in Menlo Park, California and
was formed in October 1999 by top executives from Infoseek/GO,
Webex and Vulcan Ventures. These executives shared a vision
of providing world-class technology with the highest level
of customer service and support in the industry. EmailLabs
emerged as a distinct product and brand as the obvious need
for excellence grew in the email marketing industry.
In May 2000, EmailLabs first launched its products and services.
Understanding the needs of customers has been our top priority.
As a result, the company has developed a complete group of
products and services which has been primarily driven by client
needs and preferences.
In April 2002, the company officially rolled out its third
generation solution set with advanced reporting and tracking
features, complete data segmentation, survey systems, reply-to
handling, user profiling and many more new features. In October
2003, the company launched its next generation application
with dozens of enhancements, including open and click histograms,
spam content message checker, user permission controls, report
builder, link aliasing and more. The company also continues
to add and expand its service offerings, including strategic
consulting, creative design and ISP relations and delivery.
Between major version upgrades, EmailLabs adds dozens of
new features and enhancements. In September 2005, EmailLabs
launched Version 4.0 of the application. Key features include
an updated user interface, Dynamic Content Message Builder,
a workflow/task management system, integrated seedbox monitoring,
a new message creation process and many others.
In October 2005, EmailLabs was acquired by the J.L. Hasley
Corporation. The acquisition followed the purchase of Lyris
Technologies in May 2005, making Halsey the largest publicly-held
company focused solely on email marketing.
