SalesCenter Security Advantages
Data Security: At SalesCenter, we realize
that maintaining the safety and security of all the data transmitted
within our technology platforms is critical to your sense
of safety and confidentiality. We employ the latest technological
advances, including Secure Socket Layers (SSL) and a physically
protected data center to guard all internal data.
Secure Login: Secure Socket Layers (SSL)
are available in two options: The first option allows for
login directly from the SalesCenter site. The second option
provides access to your own login page. Both options have
a standard SSL encrypted protection system. For additional
security, each session is automatically reconfigured and reinstituted
regularly.
Security Equals Performance: Currently stated
at 99.99% availability, with the exception of routinely scheduled
upgrades and system maintenance. The standard certifies SalesCenter
as a top industry performer, while providing the stringent
security measures our clients have come to expect.
Security Improvements and Developments:
Ongoing advances in security are continually being developed
by our dedicated security team. All security system upgrades
occur at a time designated by SalesCenter, and clients are
notified in advance of scheduled security upgrades.
General Technical Overview: SalesCenter's
core platform is based on Linux. SalesCenter database software
is based on my SQL with significant in-house customization
and tracking. API servers run PHP and Apache with customization
capabilities. Servers are primarily Dell PowerEdge grade models,
and load balancing is handled by Alteon WebSystems boxes.
Internal Security: SalesCenter is a proprietary
solution. Therefore, we cannot disclose the exact details
of the solution, but it is composed of this partial list of
components:
- Firewall security
- IP masking
- Port redirection
- Address translation (network)
- Production servers for testing
- SSL accelerators
- Direct access to off-site storage facilities
Database Backup: SalesCenter data is backed
up and replicated in real-time as well as hourly backups across
multiple machines and locations. A snapshot of the data is
also stored on tape. Tape storage backup occurs on a pre-scheduled
basis throughout the month.
Disaster Recovery System: SalesCenter has
several contingency procedures for outages that entail state-of-the-art
failover systems that link our backup facilities and/or alternate
facilities. All customer data as well as the SalesCenter application
itself have multiple layers of redundancy which provides the
flexibility to handle system outages, ISP outages, and most
geographical disasters.
